(TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Embleton Public Footpath No 13, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
From the junction with Public Footpath No 12, 490 metres south of Christon Bank Farm in a general easterly and north-easterly direction for a distance of 600 metres crossing the East Coast Main Line Railway to a point on B1340 road east of Cock Law Level Crossing, 610 metres south-east of Christon Bank Farm.
There is an alternative route available using existing public highways from the junction with Public Footpath No 12, 490 metres south of Christon Bank Farm in a general northerly direction for a distance of 470 metres then continuing in a general easterly direction to the north of Christon Bank Farm Cottages for a distance of 510 metres to the junction with the B1340 road, then following the B1340 road in a southerly direction for a distance of 360 metres to a point on the east side of Cock Law Level Crossing, 610 metres south-east of Christon Bank Farm.
The Order is to be effective from the 31st March 2025 until the 30th September 2025.

The closure has been requested by Network Rail to comply with Network Rail safety standards to carry out investigative works on the footpath.
