WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

SECTION 14

(COLORADO WAY, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 56) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow installation of new duct and joint box to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Colorado Way, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Colorado Way.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Colorado Way to Roundabout, Colorado Way.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

19th March 2025 at 21:00 hours until 27th March 2025 at 06:00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WOMERSLEY ROAD, KNOTTINGLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 70) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow rail level crossing works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Womersley Road,

Knottingley, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Womersley Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Womersley Road, Spawd Bone Lane, Headland Road, Hill Top, Weeland Road, vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

29th March 2025 at 23:15 hours until 30th March 2025 at 09:00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible. Dated this 13th day of March 2025
