Nailsea Off-Street Parking Places Consolidation Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council proposes to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to implement parking charges to the Clevedon Road and Station Road Car Parks in Nailsea. The details of the charges along with times of operation and other details are described in the Schedules to this notice. Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft Order which, together with the plans referred to in Schedule 1 and a Statement of the council’s reason for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at Nailsea Library, Crown Glass Shopping Centre, 6-8 Colliers Walk, Nailsea BS48 1RH or at https://n-somerset.gov.uk/my-services/parking-travel-roads/roads-streets/comment-traffic-regulation-orders-tros

Should you wish to make any observations on this proposal (whether you support or object to the proposal) you should make them in writing to David Bailey, Lead Engineer, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ or email traffic.orders@n-somerset.gov.uk quoting reference OSPP/DB/2504 by 5pm on Friday 4 April 2025. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. All representations received may be considered in public by the council and the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could be made available for public inspection.

Schedule 1 – Clevedon Road Car Park, Nailsea, Plan 6, vehicles displaying a valid permit in marked bays.

Station Road Car Park, Nailsea, plan 40, Motor Cars (except Hackney Carriages) charges (between 9am and 6pm from Mon to Sat) 1 hour £1.00, 2 hours £1.50, 3 hours £2.50, All-day £3.50. Motorcycles, marked motorcycles bays – free of charge.

Schedule 2 – disabled persons permitted additional waiting time – 1 hour.
