What is happening?

BRIDGE LANE, RAWCLIFFE BRIDGE
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Rawcliffe Station Level Crossing, Bridge Lane, Rawcliffe and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 29 March 2025 from 20.00 hours until 20.00 hours on 31 March 2025.
The reason for the closure is to enable “installation
of a URX” for the proposed Bridge Lane, Rawcliffe Bridge works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within three days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Bridge Lane,
Station Road, The Green, High Street, Snaith Road, Post Office Row, Mill Lane and New Lane, Rawcliffe CP, Snaith, Airmyn, Rawcliffe and Marshland Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic, but access will be maintained at all times for residents, emergency services and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 29 March 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from Streetscene Services, telephone (01482) 393939. Ref: PE.
