What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4302 ST EDMUNDS ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4302 St Edmunds Road, Ipswich from No. 8 - No. 16 to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Henley Road, Anglesea Road, St Edmunds Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2025 - 14/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C353 MONUMENT FARM LANE, FOXHALL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C353 Monument Farm Lane, Foxhall from the Monument to New George Youth for 100 metres northbound to facilitate the replacement of a telegraph pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Foxhall Road, Hall Road, Purdies Road, Monument Farm Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/03/2025 - 12/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C501 THE STREET, MENDHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C501 The Street, Mendham to facilitate trial pits. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Withersdale Road, Mendham Road, the B1123, the B1116, Low Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 20/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 18, SUTTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 18 at the steps for safety reasons due to damaged steps. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The alternative route will be Footpath 18A, Sutton, Footpath 19A, Footpath 18B, Sutton, Bridleway 8, Sutton and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate until 18/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF BACTON) (TURKEY HALL LANE (U5109) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order for the Parish of Bacton under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which would be to introduce a 20mph speed limit to Turkey Hall Lane, (U5109) Bacton, in both directions from a point 6 metres south from its junction with North Close to a point 40 metres south, in a northerly/north westerly direction.
Copies of the draft order, map showing the roads affected and the Council’s reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Elmswell Library, Memorial Library, Cooks Road, Elmswell IP30 9BX, Tuesday 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 7pm, Wednesday 2pm - 5pm, Thursday 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 7pm, Friday 2pm - 5pm, Saturday 10am - 1pm and Sunday 10am - 3pm.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF ST EDMUNDSBURY) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) (HAVERHILL) (ORDER 202-) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (VARIATION NO.12) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1(1) and 2(1), 3(2), 3(1), 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 1 of Map Tiles G126 and G126 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Titles, the above-named 2019 Order. The effect of this would be to introduce:
- No waiting at any time on:
- The south side of Greenfields Way (U6810), Haverhill, from a point 11 metres east of centre of Cleves Road (U6810) Greenfields Way roundabout to a point 70 metres east of the centre of the entrance to Clements Primary Academy for a total distance of 131 metres.
This restriction on waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the maintenance of the area or its services; and for Blue Badge holders.

Any persons wishing to question the validity of the order or any provisions within on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, may within six weeks of the order being made, apply to the High Court.
