Norfolk County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby gives notice that:
I) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE
Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
BACONSTHORPE – School Lane from its junction with Plumstead Road for 50m westwards to facilitate Anglian Water meter exchange works between 08:00 and 18:00 on 19th March 2025 (may continue until 30th April 2025). Alternative route: Plumstead Road, Baconsthorpe Road, Cherry Tree Road, The Green, Hempstead Road, Hole Farm Road, School Lane (Plumstead, Hempstead, Baconsthorpe).

BURGH CASTLE – Mill Road from 145m north-east of its junction with Butt Lane for 220m north-eastwards to facilitate Cadent new gas connection works from 17th to 21st March 2025 (may continue until 2nd May 2025). Alternative route: Butt Lane, High Road, Mill Road.
CATFIELD – New Road from its junction with Potter Heigham Road for 35m westwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council carriageway patching works from 20th to 21st March 2025 (may continue until 2nd May 2025). Alternative route: Potter Heigham Road, A149 Bypass, New Road (Ludham, Potter Heigham, Catfield).
COLTISHALL – Great Hautbois Road from its junction with B1150 Station Road to its junction with Seven Acres Road to facilitate BDUK duct network infrastructure cabling works from 17th to 21st March 2025 (may continue until 2nd May 2025). Alternative route: B1150 (Station Road/North Walsham Road/Church Street/North Walsham Road, Scottow Road, Hautbois Road, Little Hautbois Road, Hautbois Street (North Walsham, Coltishall, Scottow, Tunstead).
LUDHAM – Staithe Road from 130m south of its junction with Horning Road for 230m southwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council carriageway patching works from 20th to 21st March 2025 (may continue until 2nd May 2025).
NORTHREPPS – A149 Cromer Road from its junction with A140 Norwich Road to its junction with B1356 Roughton Road to facilitate Norfolk County Council road surface retexturing works between 19:30 and 23:59 from 17th to 21st March 2025 (may continue until 2nd May 2025). Alternative route is via: A140 Norwich Road, B1436 Thorpe Market Road, B1436 Roughton Road (Thorpe Market, Northrepps, Southrepps, Roughton).
NORTH WALSHAM – A149 Cromer Road from 25m northwest of its junction with B1145 Greens Road to its junction with Bradfield Road to facilitate Norfolk County Council installation works for new road studs between 19:00 and 06:00 from 20th to 22nd March 2025 only whilst signs indicating closures are in place (may continue until 3rd May 2025). Alternative route is via: B1145 Station Road, New Road, The Moor, Norwich Road, Church Hill.
RINGLAND – Weston Road from its junction with Honingham Road for 2500m westwards to facilitate Vattenfall Wind Power cutting back vegetation in and around field entrance from 17th to 21st March 2025 (may continue until 2nd May 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Hill Lane, Weston Green Road, Honingham Road, Woodforde Close, Church Street, Marl Hill Road, Marl Hill, Ringland Lane, The Street (Ringland, Morton on the Hill, Weston Longville).
SALHOUSE –
- Lower Street from 120 metres northeast of its junction with The Loke to its junction with Mill Hill.
- Lower Street/Slad Lane from its junction with Mill Hill to its junction with The Street.
- Slad Lane/Horning Road from its junction with The Street for 513 metres north-eastwards to facilitate BDUK fibre cabling works from 17th to 21st March 2025 (may continue until 2nd May 2025). Only one phased closure will be in operation at any one time.

SPIXWORTH – Park Road from its junction with Redwing Gardens for 100m southeast to facilitate Nexfibre fibre installation works from 17th to 19th March 2025 (may continue until the 2nd May 2025). Alternative route is via: Rosetta Road.

UPPER SHERINGHAM – A149 Weybourne Road from its junction with the U14356 Weybourne Road for 1.41km westwards to facilitate BT telegraph pole test works from 08:59 to 15:30 on 20th March 2025 (may continue until 1st May 2025). CHEDGRAVE – C202 Langley Road from its junction with U78342 Big Back Lane for 150m northwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council construction works for rumble strips from 17th to 18th March 2025 (may continue until the 29th April 2025). Alternative route is via: Langley Road, Lower Hardley Road, Cross Stone Road, Hardley Road, Langley Street, Staithe Road (Chedgrave, Langley with Hardley).
CRINGLEFORD –
- C645 Roundhouse Way from its junction with A11 Newmarket Road for 550m northwards (northbound and southbound).
- A11 Newmarket Road from its junction with A47 Thickthorn Roundabout for 470m eastwards to facilitate private works remodelling roundabout.
The road 1) will be temporarily subject to a 20mph speed restriction and the road 2) will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 17th March to 31st August 2025 (may continue until the 16th September 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A.
DENTON – Manor Farm Road from 635m north of its junction with U76156 Chapel Hill for 25m northwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council headwall rebuild to culvert works from 17th to 20th March 2025 (may continue until the 1st May 2025). Traffic over the road will be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 10th to 14th March 2025 only whilst signs indicating restrictions are in place (may continue until 25th April 2025). KING’S LYNN – Portland Street from its junction with Railway Road to its junction with Blackfriars Road to facilitate Norfolk County Council resurfacing works from 10th to 14th March 2025 only whilst signs indicating closures are in place (may continue until 25th April 2025). KING’S LYNN – Guanock Terrace from its junction with Thomas Street to its junction with Goodwins Road to facilitate Anglian Water new water connection works from 10th to 18th March 2025 (may continue until the 23rd April 2025). Alternative route is via: Guanock Terrace, Windsor Road, London Road, Guanock Place.
KING’S LYNN – Cycle Path from Edward Benefer Way Leading To Edmunbry Road from its junction with Edward Benefer Way for 28m eastwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council installation of railing, resurfacing, and widening works from 8th to 14th March 2025 (previously 3rd to 7th March 2025) (may continue until 25th April 2025). Alternative route is via: St Edmundsbury Road, Lapthorn Road, Bawsey Drain Cycle Path Between Loke Road And Front Way, Footpath From Edward Benefer Way On North Side Of Asda To Turbus Road, Edward Benefer Way.
SEDGEFORD – Sedgeford Footpath 2 from its junction with Church Lane for 60m southwards owing to falling church wall from 10th to 31st March 2025 (previously 17th February to 19th March 2025) (may continue until 16th August 2025). Alternative route is via: Sedgeford Footpath 2, Snettisham Road, Church Lane.
STARSTON – C877 The Street/Pulham Road from 235m west of its junction with C201 Church Hill for 100m westwards to facilitate BT pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 8th March 2025 (may continue until the 19th April 2025). Alternative route is via: Field Lane, Corner Lane, Lynn Road, Wretton Road, Low Road, Church Road (Stoke Ferry, Wretton).

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed, the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an order is for a reason other than works, it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated, but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months for vehicular highway or 6 months for non-vehicular highway.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
