THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (DUNSTABLE NORTHERN BYPASS, BEDFORDSHIRE) EASTBOUND LAYBY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 202 _
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the A5 Trunk Road in the County of Bedfordshire to enable remedial works, resurfacing, the renewal of road markings and traffic signs and general routine maintenance to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to last for approximately 4 weeks starting on, or after, Saturday 5 April 2025. The effect of the Order would be to close, for 24 hours daily, the lay-by adjacent to the eastbound carriageway of the A5, situated approximately 1500 metres east of its junction with the eastern side of the A5/B5120 Roundabout.
The closure (which would not apply to emergency service, traffic officer, works or winter maintenance vehicles) would be clearly indicated by traffic signs. The Order would come into force on 31 March 2025 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
