Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass & B2017 Five Oak Green Road, Pembury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Northern Pembury Bypass & B2017 Five Oak Green Road, on or after 1st April 2025 for up to 9 months or until the works have been completed.
A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road and A228 Pembury Northern Bypass will be closed from the A228 and Tonbridge Road crossroads to the roundabout of B2017 Badsell Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The weight restriction on B2017 Five Oak Green Road will be suspended to allow access.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tonbridge Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Pembury Road, A21 Tonbridge Road, A2014 Pembury Road, A2014 Vauxhall Roundabout, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road, B2017 Crockhurst Street, B2017 Five Oak Green Road, B2017 Badsell Road and vice versa.
Alders Road, Capel TN12 6SR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alders Road, Capel, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Reeds Farm to the junction of A228 Colts Hill, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Alders Road, B2017 Five Oak Green Road, B2017 Badsell Road, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Colts Hill and vice versa.
Bedford Road, Southborough TN4 0HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bedford Road, Southborough, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Bedford House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bedford Road, Meadow Road, A20 London Road, Western Road and vice versa.
Broadwater Down, Royal Tunbridge Wells TN2 5NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broadwater Down, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 19th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broadwater Down, A267 Frant Road, St Marks Road, Broadwater Down and vice versa.
Beulah Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells TN1 2NY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beulah Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between 30 and 42. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Granville Road, Albion Road, St James Road, Western Road, Quarry Road, Camden Road.
Crittenden Road, Matfield TN12 7EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crittenden Road, Matfield, on or after 19th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Crewherne. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crittenden Road, Chestnut Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2017 Badsell Road, A228 Colts Hill and vice versa.
Gibbet Lane, Horsmonden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gibbet Lane, Horsmonden, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Furnace Lane to outside Mere Cottages, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gibbet Lane, B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Furnace Lane and vice versa.
Goddards Green Road, Benenden TN17 4BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goddards Green Road, Benenden, on or after 4th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Benenden Hospital. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, Frogs Hole Lane, Halden Lane, Green Lane and vice versa.
Romford Road, Pembury TN2 4JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Romford Road, Pembury, on or after 2nd April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 44. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Romford Road, Woodside Road, Henwood Green Road, Romford Road and vice versa.
Standen Street, Iden Green TN17 4HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Standen Street, Iden Green, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 18 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Vyvyan Cottages, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 on Monday to Friday and between 08:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Standen Street, Woodcock Lane, Dingleden, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, Iden Green Road, Standen Street and vice versa.
Stepneyford Lane, Benenden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stepneyford Lane, Benenden, on or after 4th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed south of Stepneyford Bridge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stepneyford Lane, Green Lane, Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Stepneyford Lane and vice versa.
Sychem Lane, Capel TN12 6WB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sychem Lane, Capel, on or after 19th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed north of Redwood Park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sychem Lane, Alders Road, Church Lane, B2017 Five Oak Green Road and vice versa.
Whites Lane, Hawkhurst TN18 5DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whites Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 18th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Duvals Farmhouse. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any northbound traffic through traffic is via Whites Lane, Heartenoak Road, Ockley Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, A268 Rye Road, Water Lane.
The alternative route for any southbound traffic through traffic is via Water Lane, A268 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, Ockley Road, Heartenoak Road, Whites Lane.
Woodcock Lane, Iden Green TN17 4HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodcock Lane, Iden Green, on or after 17th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Medway Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodcock Lane, Dingleden Farm Road, Dingleden, Crouch Lane, Standen Street and vice versa.
