HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS
IN RIDGEWAY AND BULBOURNE CLOSE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Ridgeway, Berkhamsted from its junction with Tresco Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Greenway, a distance of approximately 388m.
An alternative route will be via Tresco Road, Bourne Road, Durrants Road, Shrublands Road, The Hawthorns, Finch Road and Greenway.
2. that length of Bulbourne Close, Berkhamsted from its junction with Valley Road south westwards for the entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RED LION LANE, GREAT GADDESDEN) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Red Lion Lane, Great Gaddesden from a point 70m north east of its junction with Great Gaddesden Public Footpath No.038 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 68m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Red Lion Lane, B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/ Dagnall Road), Pedley Hill, Clements End Road, South Dene, Gaddesden Row and Red Lion Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.33 AND NO.35 KINGS ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.33 and No.35 Kings Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with A416 Kings Road north westwards to its junction with Doctors Commons Road, a distance of approximately 68m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of A416 Kings Road, the footway situated on the north east side of Shootersway, the footway situated on the south east side of Cross Oak Road and the footway situated on the south side of Graemesdyke Road
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BERKHAMSTED AND NORTHCHURCH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Graemesdyke Road/Doctors Commons Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Cross Oak Road eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Charles Street, a distance of approximately 789m. An alternative route will be via Cross Oak Road, Shootersway, A416 Kings Road and Charles Street.
2. that length of A416 Kings Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with A416 Kingshill Way north eastwards to its junction with A4251 High Street, a distance of approximately 1230m.
An alternative route will be via A416 Kingshill Way, A41 (unnamed road), A4251 London Road and High Street or via A4251 (High Street/London Road), A41 (unnamed road) and A416 (Chesham Road/Kingshill Way).
3. that length of Kingsdale Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with A416 Kings Road south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Whitehill, Berkhamsted from its junction with New Road south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Gravel Path, a distance of approximately 446m.
An alternative route will be via New Road, Station Road, Brownlow Road, New Road, The Common and Gravel Path.
5. that length of Gravel Path, Berkhamsted from its junction with Ravens Lane north eastwards to its junction with The Common, a distance of approximately 1250m. An alternative route will be via Ravens Lane, A4251 High Street, Lower Kings Road, Brownlow Road, New Road and The Common.
6. that length of Brownlow Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Lower Kings Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with New Road, a distance of approximately 518m.
An alternative route will be via Lower Kings Road, Gravel Path, The Common and New Road.
7. that length of Chesham Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with A416 Kingshill Way north eastwards to its junction with A4251 High Street, a distance of approximately 1149m.
An alternative route will be via A416 (Kingshill Way/Kings Road) and A4251 High Street.
8. that length of Curtis Way, Berkhamsted from its junction with Swing Gate Lane south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 151m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 9. that length of A4251 High Street, Northchurch/A4251 (Gossoms End/High Street), Berkhamsted from its junction with A4251 Tring Road south eastwards to its junction with A4251 London Road, a distance of approximately 3416m.
An alternative route will be via A4251 Tring Road, A41 Interchange Tring, A41 (unnamed road) and A4251 London Road.
10. that length of A416 Kingshill Way, Berkhamsted from its junction with A416 Kings Road south eastwards to its junction with the A416 Chesham Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 516m.
An alternative route will be via A416 Kings Road, A4251 (High Street/London Road), A41 (unnamed road) and A416 Chesham Road or via A41 (unnamed road), A4251 (London Road/High Street) and A416 Kings Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF IVY HOUSE LANE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ivy House Lane, Berkhamsted from the access road leading to ‘Gutteridge Farm’ south westwards for a distance of approximately 90m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Ivy House Lane, The Common, Gravel Path, George Street and Ivy House Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 31 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LONGCROFT LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Longcroft Lane, Hemel Hempstead from a point 160m north east of its junction with Bovingdon Public Footpath No.017 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 570m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Longcroft Lane, Chipperfield Road, Flaunden Lane and Longcroft Lane.
The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GROSVENOR TERRACE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Grosvenor Terrace, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Puller Road eastwards and westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Grosvenor Road, Alston Road, Sebright Road, St Johns Road, Cowper Road and Grosvenor Terrace.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Farland Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Vauxhall Road south eastwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Field Road, a distance of approximately 281m. An alternative route will be via Vauxhall Road, Longlands and Field Road.
2. that length of Pickford Road, Markyate from its junction with Valley Lane northwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Roe End Lane, a distance of approximately 1163m.
An alternative route will be via Markyate Street Lane, Gaddesden Row, Gaddesden Lane, Hemel Hempstead Road, B587 Redbourn Bypass, A5183 (Redbourn Bypass/ Dunstable Road), A5 (unnamed road), A5183 (London Road/Dunstable Road), High Street, Pickford Road and Cheverells Green.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:1. that length of Frithsden Lane, Potten End from its junction with Ashridge Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Nettleden Road, a distance of approximately 1759m.
An alternative route will be via Ashridge Road, The Common and Nettleden Road.
2. that length of Frithsden Lane, Potten End from its northernmost junction with Roman Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via Roman Road and Frithsden Lane.
3. that length of Roman Road, Frithsden from its northernmost junction with Frithsden Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 415m. An alternative route will be via Roman Road, Frithsden Lane, Nettleden Road and Roman Road.

An alternative route will be via Belswains Lane, St Albans Hill and Risedale Road. 2. that length of Gade Valley Close, Kings Langley from its junction with Rectory Lane north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of Sunmead Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Chapel Street north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 4. that length of Crossfell Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Malmes Croft north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.

(PRESCRIBED ROUTES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce one-way traffic, no entry, no left turn and no right turn restrictions in parts of Station Road and Gravel Path, Berkhamsted as specified in the Schedules to this Notice.
