Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tilford Road (C28) Farnham as extends from its junction with (D110) The Reeds Road and for a distance of 47 metres in a south easterly direction. Alternative Route: (1) The Reeds Road, Back Lane, (A287) Frensham Road, (A287) Farnham Road, Jumps Road, and Tilford Road; (2) Tilford Road, Jumps Road, (A287) Farnham Road, (A287) Frensham Road, and The Reeds Road. This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of Connect It Utility Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C28 Tilford Road, Churt which extends from its junction with Hyde Lane southwards to the southern property boundary line of Houndown. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – C29 Jumps Road, A287 Churt Road, and C28 Tilford Road.
