What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

  1. that length of Talbot Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with High Street south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 298m.

    There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

  2. the road fronting Nos. 9-15 The Gossamers, Watford from its junction with The Gossamers south eastwards for its entire length.

  3. that length of Felden Close, Watford from its junction with Garston Lane north eastwards and clockwise for its entire length.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RADLETT ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Radlett Road, Watford from its junction with Queens Road north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with the Orphanage Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 504m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Queens Road and Orphanage Road.

The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (MONICA CLOSE, RAPHAEL DRIVE AND BROCKLESBURY CLOSE, WATFORD) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

ROAD HUMP NOTICE (MONICA CLOSE, WATFORD) 2025

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council, in order to improve road safety, proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Watford as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

It is also proposed under sections 90A - 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to relocate a road hump in that length of Monica Close, Watford as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 7 March 2025 during office hours, at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Watford and looking at Ref: W00325.

Objections or other representations to the proposals should be made in writing to tro.team@hertfordshire.gov.uk or TRO Services Team, Postal Point (CH0242), Farnham House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2ST by 28 March 2025, stating the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan

  • Parts of Monica Close, Raphael Drive, and Brocklesbury Close.

SCHEDULE 2: Road hump – that section of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plan

  • Part of Monica Close – centred on a point 11 metres northwest of a point in line with its junction with Raphael Drive.
  • The road hump would be constructed and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 at a height of approximately 37.50mm above the existing carriageway, with an overall width of approximately 1.8m and side gradients of approximately 1:4.

    Consulting on this scheme is a statutory duty of the County Council. Any personal data you provide in responding to this Notice will be treated as confidential but will be shared with HCC Officers; County Councillors and contracted third parties who are involved in the statutory process.
