What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 23

PEDESTRIAN REFUGE ISLAND IN MIRAMAR WAY, HORNCHURCH

  1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Havering (“the Council”), under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to install a new Pedestrian Refuge Island with associated tactile paving (to help visually impaired pedestrians) specified in the Schedule of this Notice in the street specified in column 1 of that table and at the location specified in column 2 of that table.

  2. The Pedestrian Refuge Island will have a maximum width of 1.25 metres and will be in the middle of the carriageway and will be constructed to comply with the Department of Transport specifications.
