THE LEICESTER (20 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) (CATHERINE SCHOOLS AREA) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leicester City Council has made an Order under Sections 84(1) and 84(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of this Order is to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour along the length of road as set out below:
Allington Street - Whole Length
Bardolph Street - Whole Length
Bardolph St East - Whole Length
Belper Street - Whole Length
Brandon Street - Whole Length
Burfield Street - Whole Length
Canon Street - From a point 30m southeast of Catherine Street south eastwards to cul-de-sac
Carter Street - Whole Length
Catherine Street - From 20m southwest of Ulverscroft Road to 68m northeast of Doncaster Road
Constable Avenue - Whole Length
Cossington Street - Whole Length
Dean Road - Whole Length
Donaldson Road - Whole Length
Doncaster Road - Whole Length

Ferrous Close - Whole Length
Finsbury Road - Whole Length

No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

This order will come into force on Monday 10th March 2025.
