What is happening?

Temporary Road Closures, Temporary Speed Restrictions, Temporary One-Way, Temporary Suspension Of Right-Hand Turns – Various Roads, Countywide 2025 (No.9)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 S.14 because of works on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads:

  1. Easton Lane, Itchen Valley, Winchester between its junction with B3047 Winchester Road and its junction with Avington Park Lane
  2. Southwick Road, Denmead, Winchester between its junction with Hambledon Road and its junction with Forest Road
  3. Pricketts Hill, Shedfield, Winchester between its junction with Blind Lane and its junction with High Street
  4. Southdown Road, Tadley, Basingstoke between its junction with Huntsmoor Road and its junction with Mount Pleasant
  5. Bishopswood Road, Tadley, Basingstoke between its junction with Huntsmoor Road and its junction with Harts Hill Road
  6. East Pallant, Havant between its junction with Beechworth Road and its junction with Fairfield Road
  7. Stoke Hill, St Mary Bourne, Basingstoke between its junction with B3048 and its junction with Upper Wyke Lane

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION – To impose a 40 mph temporary speed restriction on the following road:

Vyne Road, Sherborne St John, Basingstoke between its junction with Bow Brook Farm and its junction with Vyne Lodge Farm

ONE-WAY SUSPENSION – To temporarily suspend the existing one-way system on the following road:

Salisbury Road, Sopley, New Forest the one-way system between Derritt Lane and Ringwood Road will be suspended for the duration of the works.

ONE-WAY SUSPENSION – To temporarily suspend the existing one-way system on the following road:

High Street, Gosport the one-way system between North Cross Street and South Cross Street will be suspended for the duration of the works.

TEMPORARY RIGHT-HAND TURN SUSPENSION – To impose a temporary suspension on right turns on the following road:

Portsmouth Road, Burseldon, Eastleigh between its junction with A27 Providence Hill and its junction with Forge Close

Alternative Route: A27 Providence Hill, Hamble Lane, Jurd Way, Lowford Hill, Portsmouth Road

DURATION OF ORDER: from 3rd March 2025 for a period of 18 months. (This is the duration of the Order, not the works, which will vary according to technical requirements. Closure times and patterns will be indicated on site prior to and whilst the works are in progress.) Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
