Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 The County Of Devon (Temporary Restriction) 

(Chestnut Avenue, Exeter) Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. 

From 7/4/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 17/4/25. 

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: Chestnut Avenue, Exeter, (From The Junction Of Burnthouse Lane To Approximately 30 Metres Up Chestnut Avenue). 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Chestnut Avenue, Holly Road, Briar Crescent, Burnthouse Lane, Chestnut Avenue & Vice Versa. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: RC REQUIRED FOR GAS MAINS REPLACEMENT WORKS.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Richmond Road - New North Road - Hele Road - St Davids Hill - Richmond Road -Vice Versa. 

ELM GROVE ROAD - NEW NORTH ROAD, HOWELL ROAD, ELM GROVE ROAD. VICE VERSA. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable RC REQUIRED FOR GAS MAINS REPLACEMENT WORKS.
