Stoke Lacy, Temporary Road Closure Due To Draing & Resurfacing Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U65211, Hopton Lane, Stoke Lacy, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U65211, Hopton Lane, Stoke Lacy, from the junction of the A465, then southwards for approximately 300 metres. Grid Ref: 362126/249317.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A465 onto the C1133, onto Hopton Lane and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to drainage and resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 17th of March 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
