What is happening?

THE TOWER HAMLETS (WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (MAP BASED) ORDER 2019 AND THE TOWER HAMLETS (PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) ORDER 2019.

The general effect of these proposals are as follows:

PTO 2231 – Minor amendments to introduce the following on:

(i) On Uamvar Street:

(a) Opposite Clutton Street, on the east kerbside – 43.2 metre length of school keep clear markings operating on Mondays to Fridays between 8am to 9.30am and 3pm to 4.30pm, accompanied with no waiting and no loading ‘at any time’.

(b) Outside the flank wall of no.1 Clutton Street, to extend the existing permit holder parking bay southwards by 5.5m.

(ii) Convert the single yellow lines into double yellow lines:

(a) Uamvar Street (on both sides) between a point 10.5m north of Wyvis Street and the north kerb lines of Chadbourn Street, Zetland Street.

(b) At its corner junction with Uamvar Street, the north kerb lines of Chadbourn Street for approx. 6m and Zetland Street for approx. 6.8m.

(iii) No loading ‘at any time’ to accompany the double yellow lines in (ii) above and at its junction with Uamvar Street on both sides of the corners on Wyvis Road, Clutton Street for approx. 8m.

PTO 2232 – Minor amendments to introduce the following on:

(i) Beaumont Grove (outside no. 2 - 8) – west side, by removing approx. 14.5m of double yellow line to introduce a permit holder parking bay.

(ii) Copperfield Road – to convert the existing single yellow lines into double yellow lines.

(iii) Galsworthy Avenue – to replace with single yellow line with double yellow lines outside no.2 Donaghue Gardens and no.11 Causton Cottages.

(iv) To replace Personalised Disable with a Resident permit bay no.476, outside no.142 Sewardstone Road.

  1. The Regulations, fees and usual exemptions imposed by the governing Traffic Management Orders would apply to the proposals referred to in paragraph 1 above.

  2. A copy of each of the proposed Orders and all relevant documents can be obtained by emailing Parking.TMO@towerhamlets.gov.uk until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.

  3. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Orders should be sent by email to the above email address in paragraph 3 or in writing to Parking & Mobility Services, 585-593 Commercial Road, London E1 0HJ within 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
