What is happening?

NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL PARISH OF CORSHAM FOOTPATH 135, 136 AND 137 DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

The above order, made on 21 February 2025, under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, will divert the following paths: Corsham 135, leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8517-6879, curving in a south easterly, then easterly, then south easterly direction, for approximately 230 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8539-6875. Corsham 136, leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8520-6876, leading in a generally south south westerly direction, for approximately 150 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8519-6862. Corsham 137, leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8518-6878, leading in a westerly, then south south westerly, then south easterly direction, for approximately 204 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8519-6862. To the following new routes; Corsham 135, leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8517-6879, curving in a north easterly, then easterly then a south south westerly direction, for approximately 320 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8539-6875, having a width of 2 metres. Spur 1, leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8531-6884, leading in a north easterly direction, for approximately 10 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8531-6885, having a width of 2 metres. Spur 2, leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8540-6882, leading in a south easterly direction, for approximately 10 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8541-6881, having a width of 2 metres. Corsham 136, as shown by a bold dashed line on the attached plan leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8517-6879, curving in a westerly, then south south westerly, then south easterly direction, for approximately 230 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8519-6862, having a width of 2 metres. Thereupon the Calne and Chippenham Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1953 shall be modified accordingly. A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 0900 to 1700 Monday to Friday by appointment. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Wiltshire Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order. 6 March 2025

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL PARISH OF CORSHAM 66 DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

On 25 February 2025 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert path Corsham 66, leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8618-7049, in a northerly direction, for approximately 60 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8618-7055, to a new route leading from OS Grid Reference ST 8618-7049, in a westerly, then northerly direction, for approximately 66 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8616-7055, having a width of 2 metres. Thereupon the Calne and Chippenham Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1953 shall be modified accordingly. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Rights of Way and Countryside, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday. This order comes into force on the date on which Wiltshire Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraphs 7 and 8 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
