Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The Effect of the Order:
To Implement: A 20mph Zone in Stanway, in the City of Colchester.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Berechurch Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Pownall Crescent to its junction with Queen Mary Avenue a distance of approximately 280m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st April 2025 for 3 days or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2378374 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Circular Road South, Circular Road West, Goojerat Road, Butt Road, Layer Road, Berechurch Hall Road, Berechurch Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road/Manningtree Road & Little Bromley Road, Little Bentley in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Colchester Road (A133) to the junction with A120 a distance of approximately 3590m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd April 2025 for 6 days or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377434/EP201EH2377437 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while signing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via A120, A120 J B1035 Roundabout, Clacton Road, Mistley Road, Heath Road, The Green, School Road, The Street, Thorpe Road, Tendring Road, Colchester Road, Thorpe Road Colchester Road or A120 to Hare Green Roundabout then following first diversion route.
The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Colne Bank Avenue, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic),
(North Station Road, Colchester) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Colne Bank Avenue, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from both of its junctions with The Albert Roundabout to the junction with St Pauls Road a distance of approximately 90m.
2. To temporarily suspend the bus lane in that length of North Station Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester from its junction with Essex Hall Roundabout to its junction with The Albert Roundabout as detailed in 'The Colchester Borough Council (Various Roads, Colchester) (Reserved Bus Lane) Order 2000'.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 31st March 2025 for13 nights (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20123016539 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via North Station Road, Station Way, Colne Bank Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mile End Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Tall Trees to its junction with Rectory Close a distance of approximately 500m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st March 2025 for 82 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001378680 - Cadent).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Mill Road, Northern Approach Road, Chariot Way Roundabout, North Station Roundabout and vice versa (with access only into Nayland Road, Mile End Road).
The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plough Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Weeley Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2025 for 5 days or where stated on a valid permit (MT002DS0060951 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Plough Road, Colles Brook Road, South Heath Road, Dead Lane, Holly Bush Hill, Clacton Road, Station Road, Great Bentley Road, Thorrington Road, Plough Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of West End Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 530m south east of its junction with Priory Road for a distance of approximately 35m in an easterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Simpsons Lane, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from its junction with West End Road for a distance of approximately 15m in a south easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 2nd April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC00802APREAWPS391A/BC00802APREAWPS391B - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via West End Road, Priory Road, Braxted Park Road, Maldon Road and vice versa (including Simpsons Lane).
The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Carpenters Lane, Elmstead in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Turnip Lodge Lane to its junction with Tye Road a distance of approximately 400m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20117775875 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while passing bay construction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Carpenters Lane, Colchester Road, Crockleford Road, Tye Road or Tye Road, Crockleford Road, A133 (westbound), Clacton Road Interchange, A133 (eastbound) and Slough Lane (with access only into Turnip Lodge Lane).
The Order came into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 1010m south west of the junction with Long Road West for a distance of approximately 85m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 5 days or where stated on a valid permit (EC30096678664 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Long Road West, Ardleigh Road, Dedham Road, The Street, Harwich Road and vice versa (with access only into Coggeshall Road). The Order came into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, Virley in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 790m north east of its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th March 2025 for 3 days or where stated on a valid permit (AD03165293654 -Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily suspend the bus lane on Middleborough, Colchester, from its junction with North Hill, west for a distance of 47 metres as stated in 'The Essex County Council (High Street, North Hill & Middleborough, Colchester) (Bus Lane) Order 2014. The suspension is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 4 nights (19:00 - 05:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2373778 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while LED upgrade works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.8) 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads and those in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 27th February 2025, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.
