Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

(Hall Green, Little Yeldham/North End Road, Gestingthorpe)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Green, Little Yeldham/North End Road, Gestingthorpe in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 940m south east of the junction with School Road for a distance of approximately 340m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2025 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (EC30068831266/EC30085260832 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via North End Road, Church Street, Audley End, Moat Street, Hedingham Road, Little Maplestead Road, Gestingthorpe Road, Oak Road, Deans Hall Road, Sudbury Road, Head Street, Hedingham Road, Halstead Road - A1124, Halstead Road, Queen Street, Potter Street, Swan Street, Yeldham Road, Crouch Green, Yeldham Road, Hedingham Road, Poole Street, High Street, Bridge Street, Leather Lane, Little Yeldham Road, School Road, North End Road, Hall Green and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Colne Park Road, White Colne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colne Park Road, White Colne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 35m north west of its junction with Colneford Hill for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 3 days or where stated on a valid permit (AD03165346166 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Colneford Hill, Colne Park Road and vice versa (with access only into Colne Park Road from Colneford Hill). The Order came into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
