What is happening?

Essex County Council

(High Road, Fobbing)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Road, Fobbing in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 55m north west of its junction with Moores Avenue for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30/03/2025 02:00 - 31/03/2025 03:00 (25hours), or where stated on a valid permit (KL733TLL-30-36-300325 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while level crossing resetting works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

An alternative route is available via High Road, Five Bells Roundabout South, Five Bells Road, Link Road From B1420 And Bells Corner Roundabout To Boundary, Bells Corner Roundabout, Southend Road, Lampits Hill, Church Road, Fobbing Road, Lion Hill, High Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Metz Avenue, Canvey Island)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Metz Avenue, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Sydervelt Road for a distance of approximately 60m in north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st March 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA002WFRWN94T -Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while telegraph pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Sydervelt Road, Tongres Road, Thelma Avenue, Metz Avenue and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.5) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 13th March 2025, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on those lengths of road as specified in the schedule. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Canewdon Road, Ashingdon/Canewdon & Lark Hill Road, Canewdon) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Apton Hall Road, Rochford/ Stambridge in the District of Rochford, from the junction of Hyde Wood Lane to the junction of Scotts Hall Road a distance of approximately 1660m.

2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on that length of Canewdon Road, Ashingdon/Canewdon & Lark Hill Road, Canewdon, from the junction of Scotts Hall Road to the junction of Ashingdon Road as detailed in the " Essex County Council (Various Roads, Ashingdon and Canewdon) (Weight Restriction) Order 1991" for the duration of the closure only.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 19th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2365222 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/ suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Scotts Hall Road, Lark Hill Road, Canewdon Road, Ashingdon Road, Brays Lane and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bells Hill Road, Stanford-Le-Hope)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Bells Hill Road, Stanford-Le-Hope in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with A13 a distance of approximately 10m in a north westerly direction.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

"The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/ restriction are scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2376638 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while signage, lighting and clearance works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Alternative routes are available via

1. Five Bells Slip Road from Southend Road Westbound, Nether Mayne, Bells Hill Road.

2. Bells Hill Road, Nether Mayne, Five Bells Slip Road From Southend Road Eastbound.

The Order came into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Outwood Farm Road, Billericay)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Outwood Farm Road, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 340m east then north east of its junction with Outwood Common Road for a distance of approximately 290m in a north easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st March 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT1972271713062023 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Outwood Farm Road, Outwood Common Road, Outwood Farm Road and vice versa

The Order came into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
