What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN MOATSIDE AND C11 (UNNAMED ROAD), ANSTEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:
- That length of Moatside, Anstey from its junction with C11 (unnamed road) north westwards for a distance of approximately 83m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
- That length of C11 (unnamed road), Anstey from a point 78m south of its junction with Barkway Road southwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 308m.
An alternative route will be via C11 (unnamed road), Barkway Road, Nuthampstead Road, B1368 (unnamed road/Biggin Hill/London Road/High Street), Lincoln Hill and C11 (unnamed road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HIGH STREET, ROYSTON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Royston from its southernmost junction with Upper King Street north westwards and south westwards to its northernmost junction with Upper King Street, a distance of approximately 281m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
