What is happening?

(Footpath 75 (Cambs Crossing), Roydon) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 75 (Cambs Crossing), Roydon in the District of Harlow, from its junction with Footpath 181 to its junction with Footpath 74, approximately 612 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 11 March 2025 to 11 September 2025 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction works take place. Subsequently, this footpath will be stopped up permanently.
The alternative route will be via: Footpath 181, Footpath 72, Footpath 74, Footpath 75 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 11 March 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Norwood End, Ongar) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Norwood End, Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 1100m north west, then north east, then north west, then north east of its junction with Dunmow Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th March 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06049749/AP – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water supply works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
No alternative route is available (with access only into Norwood End).
The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Theydon Road, Epping) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Theydon Road, Epping in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Ivy Chimneys for a distance of approximately 700m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WG3C381PPTSB01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Ivy Chimneys, Bridge Hill, Brook Road, Stewards Green Road, Mount Road, Epping Lane, London Road, Passingford Bridge Roundabout, Ongar Road, Abridge Road, Coppice Row, Piercing Hill, Theydon Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(York Hill, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of York Hill, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Kings Green to its junction with York Crescent, a distance of approximately 60m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st March 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7031001396373 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe laying works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Church Hill, Pump Hill, Queens Road and vice versa (with access only into York Hill).
The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Algers Road, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Algers Road, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Lower Park Road to its junction with The Avenue, a distance of approximately 45m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU091NLS0081341763-0180 – Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Thames Water.
An alternative route is available via Algers Road, High Road, Lower Park Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Epping Road, Harlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Epping Road, Harlow in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 90m north west of Reeves Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410253258 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while hydrant repair and replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Epping Road, Harlow Road, Roydon Road, Elizabeth Way, Third Avenue, Katherine’s Way, Southern Way, Water Lane, Epping Road Roundabout and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 27th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Lippitts Hill, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lippitts Hill, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 710m south east of its junction with Mott Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU093MCW-NL-06730596 – Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation works are undertaken by Thames Water.
An alternative route is available via Lippitts Hill, Church Road, Mott Street and vice versa.
