What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C642 VARIOUS ROADS, BARDWELL AND IXWORTH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the:
- C642 Low Street, Bardwell
- C642 Bowbeck Road, Bardwell and:
- C642 Walsingham Road, Ixworth Road to the A1088
This is to facilitate pre-surface dressing patching works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1088, Sapiston Road, Bardwell Road, Road from A1088 to B111, Spring Road, Up Street, The Green, Quaker Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 19/03/2025 from 9.30am - 3pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Ministry).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4005 HIGH STREET, U1016 MUSEUM STREET AND U1000 TOWER RAMPARTS, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
- U4005 High Street, Ipswich from Museum Street to Crown Street.
- U1016 Museum Street, Ipswich from High Street to Elm Street.
- U1000 Tower Ramparts, Ipswich from High Street to Peel Street.
This is to facilitate kerb replacement, resurfacing, replacement of ironworks and new road markings. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
- the A1156, the A1022, Elm Street and no vice versa
- Peel Street, the A1156, the A1022, Elm Street and no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 11/04/2025 from 7pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1026 TURRET LANE, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1026 Turret Lane, Ipswich from 40 metres north of the junction with Star Lane for 50 metres northbound to facilitate a gas disconnection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be:
- Turret Lane, Key Street, College Street, St Peters Street, St Peters Street, Turret Lane and no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 21/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1136 Hethersett Road, Ipswich from the junction with Uplands Way for 40 metres eastbound to facilitate the installation of a telecoms cabinet. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be:
- Uplands Way, Hethersett Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 19/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1066 LOWER STREET, STANSFIELD
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1066 Lower Street, Stansfield from Park Road for 30 metres south eastbound to facilitate pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1065, the A1092, the B1066 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 10/03/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7320 ASSINGTON GREEN, THE C676 LOWER GREEN AND WICKHAM STREET ROAD AND THE U7318 TOP GREEN AND WATER LANE, STANSFIELD AND DENSTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
- The U7320 Assington Green, Stansfield from the junction with Lower Green to Pound Hill
- The C676 Lower Green, Denston from Assington Green to Wickham Street Road
- The C676 Wickham Street Road, Denston from Lower Green to Bridge Cottage
- The U7318 Top Green, Denston from Wickham Street Road to Water Lane
- The U7318 Water Lane, Denston from Top Green to the junction with the A143
This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
- Assington Green, Water Street, Plough Hill, Lower Green and vice versa
- Wickham Street Road, the A143, the B1063, Clare Road, Poslingford, The Street, The Hill, Stansfield Road, Clare Road, Stansfield, High Street, Lower Street, Plough Hill and vice versa
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
- 17/03/2025 - 19/03/2025
- 20/03/2025 - 03/04/2025
- 03/04/2025 - 17/04/2025
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be the C565 The Street, Stowlangtoft, A1088 Ixworth Road, Stowlangtoft, School Lane, and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 21/03/2025 from 8am - 3.30pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2044 HOLBROOK ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2044 Holbrook Road, Ipswich from Hawke Road for 50 metres north eastbound to facilitate the installation of an electrical cable. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Robeck Road, Hawke Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 21/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C668 WITHERSFIELD ROAD, GREAT THURLOW
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C668 Withersfield Road, Great Thurlow from 25 metres west of the junction with the B1061 to number 102 to facilitate wall repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1061, the A143, the A1307, Queen Street, Turnpike Hill, Thurlow Road, Burton Hill, Rose Hill, the C668 from the B1061 to the County Boundary and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 14/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF BRIDLEWAY 12, BRIGHTWELL
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Bridleway 12, Brightwell from Bridleway 10 for 40 metres north eastbound then a further 20 metres south westbound to facilitate surfacing works. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 16/09/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A114 St Peters Street, Lowestoft from the junction with Rotterdam Road for 80 metres eastbound to facilitate sewer repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1144, the A1171, the A47 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 21/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
- C986 Bungay Street, Bungay from the junction with Broad Street for 210 metres
- U1221 Nethergate Street, Bungay from Bridge Street to the entrance of the park
This is to facilitate the installation of a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1438, Cherry Tree Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 19/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/03/2025 - 20/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be New Road, Kingshall Street, Moat Lane, Almshouse Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 17/03/2025 from 8am - 1pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
