Etton Road - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Enable the Proposed Tree Felling and Vegetation Works
What is happening?

ETTON ROAD, CHERRY BURTON (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Etton Road, Cherry Burton (whole extent) on Thursday 20 March 2025 (between 09.00 hours and 17.00 hours).
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed tree felling and vegetation works to the overhead supply network for Power grid, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within the same day.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Cherry Burton Road, Etton, Main Street, Etton, (B1248) Malton Road and Main Street, Cherry Burton. The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence Thursday 20 March 2025, and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
