Westmorland & Furness, Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Highway Works

What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (A593 BROUGHTON-IN-FURNESS, A593 CLAPPERSGATE AND C5077 PRESTON PATRICK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

A593 Broughton-in-Furness, from its junction with the C5008, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 450m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the A593 (Torver), A5084 (Lowick Bridge), C5018 (Woodgate), A5092 (Grizebeck) and A595.

Duration: From 10th March 2025 for approx. 12 days (Ref: TTROW/13274)

A593 Clappersgate, from its junction with the B5286, extending in an overall south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 3.3km.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the A593 (Torver), A5084 (Lowick Green), A5092 (Greenodd), A590 (Newby Bridge), A592 (Storrs), B5360, A5074, A592 (Troutbeck Bridge) and A591.

Duration: From 17th March 2025 for approx.3 nights (Ref: TTROW/12581)

C5077 Preston Patrick, from its junction with the U5363, extending in an overall northerly direction for a distance of approx. 410m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5077, C5094, C5093 and A65. Duration: From 7th April 2025 for approx.5 days (Ref: TTROW/13270)

The Order will come into operation on 10th March 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
