Lincoln – Sincil Bank Area - One Way Order, Probhibition Of Waiting & 20Mph Speed Limit Order
What is happening?

(LINCOLN – SINCIL BANK AREA) (ONE WAY ORDER, PROBHIBITION OF WAITING & 20MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council propose to make an Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting as set out in the Schedule below:
• Change the existing one way order on Cross Street to allow traffic to travel in a northerly direction from Scorer Street to Portland Street and on Portland Street allow traffic to travel in a westerly direction from Cross Street to Sincil Bank.
• Reduce the existing No Waiting at Any Time on Portland Street outside properties, 57, 72-78, 77-81, 100, 101-103, at the rear of 87 Portland Street on Trollope Street, 48 & 50 Cross Street and 42-46, 11-13 Scorer Street.
• Extend the existing 20mph zone to Portland Street and Kesteven Street.
The Order will come into operation on 10th March 2025 and a copy of the Order and a plan showing the lengths of road concerned with a Statement of Reasons can be requested.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks after 4th March 2025 make application to the High Court for this purpose.
