(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Blyth in the County of Northumberland.
U9500 Hughbourne Street from the front of number 34 Hughbourne Street heading in a westerly direction for a length of 22 metres
U9500 John Street Back Lane from its junction with Hughbourne Street heading in a southerly direction for a length of 10 metres
The Order is to be effective from the 18th March 2025 until the 18th April 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 18th March 2025 until the 19th March 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 18th April 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Cowpen Road Back Lane, John Street, Beecher Street and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to carry out internal weir wall works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
