ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 The East Sussex (C15 Cowbeech Road, Warbleton)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close

the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Cowbeech Road – from the junction with C601 Kingsley Hill to the junction with C15 Foul Mile.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C601 Kingsley Hill – C409 Hammer Lane – C15 Cowbeech Road, Foul Mile and vice versa.

The Order commences 25 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mill Lane – from the junction with C11 Croft Road to the junction with A26 Beacon Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C11 Croft Road – B2100 High Street – A26 Beacon Road and vice versa. The Order commences 24 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 March and 5 May 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U7663 Common Lane, Laughton)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close

the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Common Lane – from the junction with C326 Shortgate Lane to the junction with B2124 Lewes Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2124 Lewes Road – C326 Shortgate Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 and 28 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C120 The Street, Litlington)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close

the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

The Street – from the junction with P8003 Clapham Lane to the junction with C120 Lullington Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C120 Lullington Road – C39 North Street, Waterloo Square, High Street, Whiteway, Alfriston Road – A259 Eastbourne Road – C120 Litlington Road, The Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 26 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (B2192 Ringmer Road, Ringmer)

(Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit

Ringmer Road – from the junction with C113 New Road to UKPN Lewes Grid Sub Station.

The Order commences 10 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place between 10 March and 22 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7820 Mallard Drive, Uckfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mallard Drive – from the junction with U7820 Mallard Drive to the end of the close.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commenced 28 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U7897 Dewlands Hill, Rotherfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Dewlands Hill – from the junction with C209 Willinghurst Lane to the junction with C209 Castle Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C209 Castle Hill, Willinghurst Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 13 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Crowborough Hill – from the junction with U7479 North Beeches Road to the junction with U7807 Watson Way.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2157 Green Lane, Eridge Road – A26 Eridge Road – B2100 High Street, The Broadway and vice versa.

The Order commences 11 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Park Road – from the junction with A26 Eridge Road to the junction with U7809 Croham Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A26 Eridge Road – B2100 High Street, The Broadway – U7809 Croham Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 14 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bradfords Lane – from the junction with A22 Uckfield bypass to the junction with U7518 Bradfords Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7518 Bradfords Lane – A26 Lewes Road – A22 Uckfield bypass and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 10 March and 17 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Underhill – from the junction with U7501 Cobdown Lane to the junction with C33 Straight Half Mile.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C33 Straight Half Mile, High Street, London Road – A26 Budletts roundabout – A272 London Road, Budletts Lane – U7500 Millwood Lane and vice versa. The Order commences 10 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 10 and 31 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U5661 Bishops Lane, Ringmer)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bishops Lane – from the junction with P5839 Bishops Close to the junction with U5313 Tile Kiln.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic eastbound via U5661 Bishops Lane – U5015 Norlington Lane – C112 Church Hill, Church Crescent – B2192 Lewes Road – U5661 Bishops Lane and westbound via U5661 Bishops Lane – B2192 Lewes Road – C112 Vicarage Way, Church Hill – U5015 Norlington Lane – U5661 Bishops Lane.

The Order commences 10 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U7023 Vert Lane/U7676 Broomham Lane, Chiddingly) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Vert Lane – from the junction with U7676 Broomham Lane to Bluebell View. Broomham Lane – from the junction with A22 Whitesmith to the junction with B2124 Lewes Road.

Diversion via B2124 Lewes Road – A22 Holmes Hill, Whitesmith and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 10 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 10 and 14 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. Temporary Road Closure

Bicycle Arms Road – from the junction with U7570 Sheriffs Lane to the junction with A267 Argos Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2101 High Cross, Mayfield Road, South Street – B2100 High Street, Church Road, Rotherfield Road – C11 Western Road, Walshes Road, Fermor Road – C254 Hurtis Hill, Sheep Plain – A26 Beacon Road, Eridge Road – C70 Bunny Lane – A267 Frant Road, Frant Green Road, Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road, Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road, Argos Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 9 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Notice of Variation of parking charges at parking places and parking permits in Lewes Town and Lewes district

NOTICE is hereby given by East Sussex County Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) which introduces the following changes in on-street vehicle parking charges in Lewes district together with changes to permit charges.

The following new charges will be payable for Permits for parking in the permit holder parking places in the following roads:
