Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic.

This order will come into operation on Monday 24 March 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 4 April 2025.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL – (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 11) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 82, 84 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act.
The effect of the proposed Order will be to: -
i. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the speed restriction outlined in Schedule 1 below and replacing Map Tile No. CY106 in the Consolidation Order schedules.
ii. The restrictions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.
SCHEDULE 1 – (30mph Speed Limit)
Moss Lane, Minshull Vernon
Extend the existing 59 metres length of 30mph speed limit by 96 metres, to a point 155m east of the junction with A530 Middlewich Road.

Cheshire East Borough Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Temporary Prohibitition Of Pedestrians
Public Footpath No. 3 (Part) Parish of Crewe
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
The length of Public Footpath No. 3 (part) Crewe which commences at OS grid reference SJ 7154 5597 and runs in a generally easterly direction for approximately 147 metres to OS grid reference SJ 7139 5596.
The closure is necessary to enable the excavation of approximately 130 metres of the public right of way to lay high voltage electricity cables
The Order came into force on the 3rd of March 2025 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
An alternative route is available on site, via the highway network via Coleridge Way and Hungerford Road.
This order does not prevent any pedestrians with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the public footpath only accessible from the path or by any emergency vehicle.
