What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(SAUNDERS PIECE, AMPTHILL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Saunders Piece, Ampthill from the school entrance to number 42.
This temporary closure is required to enable telegraph pole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 25 to 26 March 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Queens Road, Oliver Street, Flitwick Road, Baker Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 25 March 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(HIGHAM ROAD, HIGHAM GOBION)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Higham Road, Higham Gobion outside Chiltern View.
This temporary closure is required to enable electrical cable installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 24 to 28 March 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Hanscombe End Road, Aspley End Road, B655, Higham Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 24 March 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Water End Road, Maulden next to number 86.
This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 14 March 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Clophill Road, C100, A507, New Road, Water End and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 10 March 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
