Mauldeth Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Carriageway Resurfacing

What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC142152537: The City of Manchester (Mauldeth Road, Withington Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Mauldeth Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Mauldeth Road, Kingsway, Fog Lane, Parrs Wood Road vice versa (2) Egerton Road, Wilmslow Road, Mauldeth Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 9th March 2025. 
The order shall come into operation on the 9th March 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. 

ORDER NO. MCC142151144: The City of Manchester (Yew Tree Road, Old Moat Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Yew Tree Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Yew Tree Road, Wilbraham Road, Princess Road, Mauldeth Road West vice versa (2) Mauldeth Road West, Wilmslow Road, Burton Road, Old Moat Lane, Yew Tree Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 9th March 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 9th March 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
