PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS)
ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A38 Trunk Road, between Findern and South Normanton, in the County of Derbyshire, to allow routine maintenance works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to close any layby situated adjacent to –

(a)  the northbound carriageway of the A38 from its junction with the exit slip road leading to its roundabout junction with the A50 slip roads and the B5008 (Toyota Island), at Findern, to its roundabout junction with Mansfield Road and the slip roads leading to and from the M1 (Pinxton Interchange), at South Normanton; and

(b)  the southbound carriageway of the A38 from its junction with Pinxton Interchange, to its junction with the entry slip road leading from Toyota Island.

The work is expected to start on Tuesday 1st April 2025 and continue for approximately  six weeks. The laybys will be closed in phases on weekdays only between 13:00 hours and 06:00 hours. The Order will come into force on 25th March 2025.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
