Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
North Newington, Park Lane & School Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 3 March 2025
Coming into force: 11 March 2025
This Order is being introduced because of fibre cable installation works in Park Lane from 11 to 24 March, and in School Lane from 25 March to 7 April.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the roads when appropriate traffic signs are displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure no diversion dead end road.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15156/AC)

Hornton, Street to Bush Hill & Hornton Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 17 March 2025
Coming into force: 24 March 2025
This Order is being introduced because of fibre cable works which are anticipated to be completed 18 April 2025. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the roads as follows:
Street from Hornton to Bush Hill closed from where the road meets quarry road; Hornton Lane – close's from junction with Banbury Lane to where the road meets street from Hornton to Bush Hill. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via The Green, Bell Street, Unnamed Road towards Horley, unnamed Road toward Hornton and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15228/AC)

Hanwell, Church Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 17 March 2025
Coming into force: 24 March 2025
This Order is being introduced because of fibre cabling works which are anticipated to be completed 29 March 2025. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from Church Lane. Various sections of Main Street will also be subject of works and one-way traffic using phased traffic signals.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15261/AC)
OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BANBURY AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that on 3 March 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 10 March reduces the 50mph speed limit to 40mph on the A422 Hennef Way in Banbury between its roundabout junctions with the A423 Southam Road and Ermont Way/ Wildmere Road.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Banbury Area) Order 2024 is revoked/replaced.
