Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 6th March 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STATION ROAD (PART), WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2094)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along Station Road, Woburn Sands from its junction with Summerlin Drive to its junction with Turnpike Court to enable Network Rail to undertake annual inspections and renew sections of rail.
The closure will come into effect at 11:00pm on 15th March 2025 and continue until 4:00am on 17th March 2025.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Newport Road, A421, Bedford Road, Salford Road, A507, A4012, Turnpike Road and Crawley Road (vice versa).
Whilst the closure is in place pedestrian access will be maintained via Banksman on site as and when it is safe to do so.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS MILTON KEYNES – THE FESTIVAL OF RUNNING EVENT) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2047)
The effect of the above Order will be to:
1) to temporarily close parts of Avebury Boulevard (Central Milton Keynes) including any car parking area access roads where relevant, Marlborough Gate (Central Milton Keynes), Saxon Street (V7), Childs Way (H6), Chaffron Way (H7), Golden Drive (Eaglestone), Waterside (Peartree Bridge), Flaxley Gate (Monkston), Colindale Street (Monkston Park) and Tanfield Lane, Milton Road and Swanwick Lane (Broughton).
2) to temporarily prohibit right turn manoeuvres onto Saxon Street (V7) from Avebury Boulevard (Central Milton Keynes), Fulwood Drive (Leadenhall), Childs Way (H6) and Chaffron Way (H7).
The above temporary restrictions are necessary to facilitate the annual Milton Keynes Half Marathon and Festival of Running.
The temporary closures and right turn bans will be in effect on Sunday 16th March 2025 (between the hours of 6.00am and 2.00pm. The roads will re-open once the runners have passed through.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE BOWL ROUNDABOUT (PART), MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2116)
Th effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding Bowl Roundabout (the section between its northern egress and ingress carriageways) to enable Vodafone to undertake the installation of new telecoms equipment.
The closure will take effect on 19th and 20th March between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Watling Street and Knowlhill Roundabout.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 25 February 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (LEAFIELD RISE, TWO MILE ASH) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2107)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding along that part of Leafield Rise Footpath, Two Mile Ash, from number 65, for a distance of 30 metres in south easterly direction. The closure is necessary to enable Milton Keynes City Council to undertake works to repair the footbridge:
The footpath closure will be in effect from 10th to 18th March 2025
Whilst the above length of footpath is closed the alternative route will be via Redway TMA06 and the footways along Leafield Rise.

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders

PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed restriction on Brinklow Roundabout and parts of A4146 Tongwell Street (V11) and A421 Standing Way (H8).
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Any representations or objections to the proposals, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to
quoting reference TRO-432 and to be received no later than 27 March 2025. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
