What is happening?
Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Creation Order Highways Act 1980, The North Yorkshire Council Public Bridleway No 15.43/14 Crimple Viaduct, Follifoot Creation Order 2023
The above Order made under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 was confirmed on 10/02/25. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to create the Public Bridleway as follows. Commences at the northern end of Bridleway No 15.43/16 at Grid Reference 43212 45289, then runs in a north-westerly direction for approximately 10 metres, to its junction with the eastern end of Bridleway No 15.54/61 at the Harrogate Borough parish boundary Grid Reference 43211 45289. A copy of the order as confirmed & the Order Map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Harrogate Library, North Yorkshire until 17/04/25. The Order comes into force 06/03/25, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 06/03/25, make an application to the High Court. Notice of Dedication of a Public Bridleway,Highways Act 1980 – Section 25, North Yorkshire Council, Bridleway No. 15.43/16 in the Parish of Follifoot, Take notice that under an agreement made on the 27th day of March 2014, with North Yorkshire County Council, the right of way described below at Crimple Beck, Follifoot was dedicated for use by the public as a Bridleway. The effect of the creation agreement is to add a bridleway from GR SE 3188 5248, running north-east for approx 460 metres along a former railway line to GR SE 3212 5289. Dated 06 March 2025.
