Unnumbered Footpath From Bridge Street - Temporary Footpath Closure

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
UNNUMBERED PATH FROM BRIDGE
STREET BAKEWELL (PART)

WHEN: 10 March to 15 September 2025.
WHERE: Close the unnumbered footpath from Bridge Street to footpath No.49.
REASON: To facilitate public safety due to
collapsed wall and subsidence.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From Bridge Street travel southwest then southeast along Market Street. Enter Riverside Crescent and re-join the footpath.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council has made an order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
