Nottinghamshire - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Excavation Works And To Install LV Cable
What is happening?
The Nottinghamshire County Council
(Various Locations, Eastwood) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (Bx25-047)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Eastwood in the Borough of Broxtowe The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Woodland Way, Eastwood - From its junction with Church Street in a westerly direction for 35 metres
b. A608 Derby Road, Eastwood (one way closure) (Southwest bound only) - From its junction with Church Street to its junction with Blackthorn Drive
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Church Street, Eastwood - From its junction with Woodland Way to its junction with A608 Derby Road
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 hours Monday 17th March 2025 Until 18:00 hours Friday 11th April 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Woodland Way - Derby Road - Kelham Way - Mansfield Road - Blackthorn Drive - Larch Crescent Oak Drive and vice versa
b. A608 Derby Road - A608 - A6002 - A611 - A610 - Kelham Way The Order will come into force on Monday 17th March 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable UK Power Solutions on behalf of Last Mile to carry excavation works to install LV cable.
