What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
Amendment to OLDFIELD LANE NORTH, Greenford.

The Ealing (Parking Places) (Stop and Shop with additional Cashless Parking) (No. 1, 2022) (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*; The Ealing (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*; The Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (No. ***) Traffic Order 202*. Road Traffic Regulation Act, Section 23 - Provision of Pedestrian Crossing - OLDFIELD LANE NORTH & ROCKWARE AVENUE, Greenford.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing, proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders, under sections 6 and 124 of and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the proposed Orders would be to, on: -
(a) Oldfield Lane North: -
(i) north-west side, under the railway bridge to replace the existing stop & shop plus parking places with double yellow lines;
(ii) north-west side, opposite Nos. 437 - 447 Oldfield Lane North change the single yellow line to double yellow lines;
(iii) south-east side, between its junction with Berkeley Avenue and opposite its junction with Currey Road change the single yellow line to double yellow lines;
(iv) prohibit all vehicles from turning left onto Station Approach.

(b) Station Approach to prohibit all vehicles from turning right onto Oldfield Lane North.

3. FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing intends to install a zebra crossing on: -

(a) Oldfield Lane North, just south-west of its junction with Rockware Avenue;

(b) Oldfield Lane North, just north-east of the junction with Rockware Avenue;

(c) Rockware Avenue, just south-east of its junction with Oldfield Lane North.

4. The intentions and proposed Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the plans, are available by e mail from ‘trafficnotices@ ealing.gov.uk’ or by inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday.

5. Any objections or other representations about either of the proposed Orders should be sent in writing by e-mail to ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference P019-25 until the 26 March 2025. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should include the address of the author.
