HYSBYSIR trwy hyn fod Cyngor Sir Gaerfyrddin (y cyfeirir ato fel "y Cyngor" yn hon ymlaen), ar 3ydd ddydd o Fedi 2025, wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan Adran 9 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 (fel y'i diwygiwyd) ar ôl rhoi ystyriaeth gallogol effeithiol.

Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd gwahardd unrhyw gerbyd brysneu unrhyw gerbyd â màs cyfansawdd gros sy’n fwy na 7.5 tunnell, neu’n teithio er diben teithgar arall y nodir yn yr Atodlen i’r Hysbysiad hwn.

Bydd eithriadau yn cael eu darparu yn y Gorchymyn i ganiatáu i gerbydau newyddb ddefnyddiol* fynd â nwyddau os yw'r cerbyd yn cael ei ddefnyddio:

  1. Ar ger dulofwyddiadau, neu, o unrhyw faner sydd wedi'i leoli ar y ffyrdd a nodir, neu'n agysyllt âdynt; neu
  2. Mewn cysylltiad â gweithrediadau adeiladu, adweiniol frydi neu waith tebyg arall.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 1af dydd o Fawrth 2025 a gellir gweld copi o’r Gorchymyn sy’n cynnwys y manylion llawn, ynghyd â chynlluniau sy’n nodi’r darnau ffyrdd y effeithir arynt a chaniataol y rhesymau’r Cyngor dros wneud y Gorchymyn hwn, yng nghanolannau Hwb Gwasanaethau Cwsmeriaid y Cyngor yn:

  • Uned 22 Randal St Santes Catrin, Caerfyrddin SA31 1GA; a
  • Rh 41 Stryd y Cei, Rhydaman SA18 3BS

    Bydd yr oriau gweld arferol arnynt o chwech (6) mis o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn.

Ar ôl cyfnod o chwe (6) mis, bydd y Cyngor yn ystyried a ddylai darpariaethau’r Gorchymyn Arbofol gael eu gwneud yn barhaol.

Experimental 7.5 tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that, on the 3rd day of March 2025, Carmarthenshire County Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") made an Order under Section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any goods vehicle, whose maximum gross weight exceeds 7.5 tonnes, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exceptions will be provided in the Order to permit goods vehicles to use the specified roads when the vehicle is being used:

  1. for the conveyance of goods or merchandise to, or from, any premises situated on or adjacent to the said roads; or
  2. in connection with building operations, road repair or other similar works.

The Order will come into operation on the 10th day of March 2025, and a copy of the Order containing full particulars, together with the plans showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making this Order, may be examined at the Council’s Customer Service HWBs at:

  • Unit 2, St Catherine’s Walk, Carmarthen SA31 1GA; and
  • No.14 Quay Street, Ammanford SA18 3BS

    during usual office hours for a period of six (6) months from the date of this Notice.

After a period of six (6) months, the Council will consider whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be made permanent.

Should you wish to object to the making of a permanent Order on the terms of the Experimental Order, please send grounds for objection in writing to Steven Murphy, Head of Law, Governance and Civil Services at County Hall, Carmarthen SA31 1JP by the 10th day of September 2025, quoting the above file reference.

Any person wishing to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that:

  1. it is not within the powers conferred by the Act; or
  2. that any requirement of the Act, or of any instrument under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order,

    may, within six (6) weeks of the date on which this Order is made, apply to the High Court for the purpose.
