NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

St Marys Road, Portishead, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 19 April 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-316

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Virgin Media to rectify defect in carriageway. This order will become operative on the 19 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 8am and 6pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. Access only.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 22 April 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-317

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 22 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 7 hours in duration between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to install ducting. This order will become operative on the 23 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Date coming into force: 1 May 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-326

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to cut off old supply. This order will become operative on the 1 May 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Date coming into force: 6 May 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-327

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace pole. This order will become operative on the 6 May 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 6 May 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-328

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to replace four poles. This order will become operative on the 6 May 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION

ORDERS 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Chapel Hill, Backwell, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 10 March 2025 - Ref: T25-03

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 10 March 2025, anticipated to be of 5 days. The working and hours will be 8am to 5pm. The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - Chapel Hill, Backwell entire extents.

Alternative routes - Backwell Bow, Backwell Common, Station Road, Farleigh Road and vice-versa.

Kings Road, Wrington, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 17 March 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-219

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to lay a new main. This will become operative on the 17 March 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 26 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 22 March 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-256

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to connect new water supply. This order will become operative on the 22 March 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is

anticipated be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

(Variation No.15) Order 2025 - Ref: DB/2420/2025

Notice is hereby given that on the 27 February 2025 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places (Consolidation) Order 2022, to include parking restrictions (single and double yellow lines), disabled bay, loading bay, motorcycle bay, buses only bay, in Clevedon.

The order will come into operation on the 10 March 2025 and copies of the order may be inspected by appointment at North Somerset Council, Castlewood, Tickenham Road, Clevedon BS21 6FW. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice is hereby given that on the 27 February 2025 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to amend the North Somerset Council Moving Traffic Prohibitions and Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to include a contraflow cycle lane, in Clevedon.

The order will come into operation on the 10 March 2025 and copies of the order may be inspected by appointment at North Somerset Council, Castlewood, Tickenham Road, Clevedon BS21 6FW. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice is hereby given that on the 27 February 2025 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order was to amend the North Somerset Council (Speed Limit Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to include 20mph and 40mph speed limit in Kenn.

The order will come into operation on the 10 March 2025 and copies of the order may be inspected by appointment at North Somerset Council, Castlewood, Tickenham Road, Clevedon BS21 6FW. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
