TAKE NOTICE that The North Yorkshire
Council, being the highway authority for
North Yorkshire, intends to apply to the
York & Selby Magistrates’ Court sitting
at Clifford Street, York, YO1 9RE at
10.00am on Thursday 10/04/25 for an
Order under Section 116 of the
Highways Act 1980 to authorise the
stopping up of an area of highway at
land to the rear of 7 Aspen Way, Station
Road, Tadcaster, on the ground that it is
unnecessary. The effect of the Order will
be that the land in question ceases to be
part of the highway. A plan showing the
proposed area of highway to be stopped
up has been deposited at Tadcaster
Library, 8 Station Road, Tadcaster &
may be inspected there free of charge
during normal office hours – further
details of the proposal can be obtained
by contacting Legal Services, North
