PART OF CLAY LANE, BREIGHTON (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along part of part of Clay Lane, Breighton between its junctions with Gunby Road/Sand Lane and Ferry Lane commencing 24 March 2025 from 08.00 hours until 18.00 hours on 25 March 2025. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed “installation of eight communication poles” works to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within two days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Ferry Lane, Lund Lane, Station Road, A63 Hull Road, Woodhall Lane, Woodhall to North Duffield,
North Yorkshire, A163 North Duffield, North Yorkshire to Bubwith, Main Street, Church Street, Breighton Road, Gunby Road, Wressle CP, Bubwith CP, North Duffield CP, Hemingbrough CP, Cliffe CP, Howdenshire Ward. The road will be closed to all through traffic, but access will be maintained at all times for residents, emergency services and pedestrians. The Order will commence
24 March 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from Highways Customer Care, telephone (01482) 393939. Ref: PE.
