PEDESTRIAN CROSSING, BUS STOP AND BUS STAND

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley on 25th February 2025 made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers. It will also amend the layout of an existing pedestrian crossing under section 23 of the above Act. The Orders will come into operation on 6th March 2025.
The effect of the Orders, in relation to Station Square, Petts Wood, will be to:
(a) realign and widen echelon parking bays in Station Square on the south-east side outside Nos. 25 to 35 Station Square with a loss of 2 parking bays;
(b) realign and widen echelon parking bays in Station Square on the north-west side outside Nos. 8 to 26 Station Square with a loss of 1 bay;
(c) introduce an additional pay by phone bay opposite No. 21 Station Square, outside the Daylight Inn (Hotel) as set out in the Schedule to this Notice;
(d) relocate the existing taxi rank on the north-west side of Station Square, from opposite No. 29 Station Square to opposite No. 25 Station Square and extend its enforceable operational hours from 4pm to 2am daily to operating at any time as set out in the Schedule to this Notice;
(e) extend the existing waiting restrictions operating at any time outside No. 8 Station Square north-westwards by a distance of 4 metres.
In addition, the length of the "zig-zag" markings of the pedestrian crossing located between No. 2 and No. 8 Station Square will be extended by an additional 4 metres south-eastwards.
The Council will also introduce a bus stop and a bus stand in Station Square as set out in the schedule to this Notice.
Copies of the Orders may be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Bromley Council, Churchill Court, Westmoreland Road, Bromley BR1 1AS, or by emailing TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk, until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date of the making of the Orders.
ANY person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that any requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

(a) the south-west side, from a point 11.5 metres south-east of the party wall of Nos. 6 & 8 Station Square to a point 0.5 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 9 and 11 Station Square.
TAXI RANK
Taxis Stopping Only – At Any Time:
STATION SQUARE, Petts Wood, (a) the north-west side, from a point 2 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 25 and 29 Station Square north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres.
PAY BY PHONE PARKING PLACE
Pay by Phone Parking – 2 hour maximum stay, no return within 1 hour between 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays.

(a) the south-west side, from a point 2 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 21 and 23 Station Square north-westwards for a distance of 5.5 metres.
