What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 –

Frank Perkins Parkway                                                     Ref: 25-292

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the roads detailed in the schedule below.

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 12/03/2025 and will continue until the safety barrier survey works have been completed or until the 11/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

It is anticipated that the works will take place between 12/03/2025 and 15/03/2025.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – 

Oldbrook, Bretton, Peterborough                                                             Ref: 25-281

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Oldbrook, Bretton as lies between 75-89. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order (cul de sac). The proposed order will come into force on the 10/03/2025 and will continue until the new electrical connection works have been completed or until the 09/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from the 10/03/2025 to the 14/03/2025. Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – 

Wittering Ford Road, Barnack, Peterborough                  Ref: 25-282

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Wittering Ford Road, Barnack, as lies between Mill Farm and Mill House Farm Cottages. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are: 1. Turning off the A1 Southbound – The Green Drift. 2. Turning onto the A1 Southbound – Heath Road, The Green Drift and A1. The proposed order will come into force on the 17/03/2025 and will continue until the new water mains works have been completed or until the 16/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 17/03/2025 and the 01/04/2025.
