(Various Footpaths and Footway, Oldland Common) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers the lengths of footpath and footway specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon gas main upgrade works. The order became operative from 10 March 2025 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 months duration. Schedule: Court Road Eastbound Footway – that length which extends from a point 15m south west of The Barton access road north eastwards for 235m; Footpaths Network Brookfield Walk Area – its entire length; Footpaths Network Meadow Court Drive Area – its entire length. 
Alternative route: Follow signed diversion.

(Cowship Lane, Wickwar) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Cowship Lane which extends from a point 500m south east of Bristol Road south eastwards for 100m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with defective reinstatement works. The order became operative from 10 March 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: B4058, B4059, The Downs, Westend Road, Cowship Lane and vice versa.

(Bradley Stoke Way, Bradley Stoke) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon active travel scheme construction works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 10 March 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 9 months duration. The closures are to be carried out in phases. Each phase will not be implemented before the one before it has been completed. Schedule: BRADLEY STOKE WAY (northbound only); Phase 1 – from Great Stoke Way roundabout to Great Meadow roundabout; Phase 2 – from Great Meadow roundabout to Webbs Wood roundabout; Phase 3 – from Webbs Wood roundabout to Savages Wood roundabout. (Aldermoor Way and Kingsfield Lane, Longwell Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in column 1 of Schedule1 to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon carriageway development works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 10 March 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that the works at each location will be carried out between the hours specified in column 2 on the dates specified in column 3 of the said Schedule. (Swan Lane, Winterbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Swan Lane which extends from Old Gloucester Road south eastwards for 350 metres. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order became operative from 11 March 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm. Alternative route: B4427, Beacon Lane, B4058, Swan Lane and vice versa.

(A4174 Avon Ring Road, Bromley Heath Roundabout to Badminton Road Roundabout and A4174 Filton Road) (Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- a) prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding at a speed in excess of 40 miles per hour in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice; and b) suspended, temporarily, the South Gloucestershire Council (Various Roads including the A4174 Avon Ring Road, Filton to Hanham) (30 mph Speed Limit) (40 mph Speed Limit) (50 mph Speed Limit) (De-Restriction) Order 2008 in so far as it relates to the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice, for the duration of this order. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon CRSTS works. The order became operative from 11 March 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 12 months duration. 
Schedule: A4174 AVON RING ROAD – NORTH AND NORTH-WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY a) that length which extends from a point 60m west of Wick Wick roundabout south westwards to a point 80m north east of Bromley Heath roundabout, a distance of approx.1230m; b) that length which extends from a point 40m north west of Bromley Heath roundabout north westwards to the M32 J1 roundabout, a distance of approx. 1131m.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Rockhampton Road which extends from Thornbury Road to Horse Lane. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order became operative from 14 March 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration. Alternative route: Thornbury Road, Lower Stone Road, Lower Stone to county boundary, The Yews to Lower Stone, road from A38 to The Yews, A38 Gloucester Road, B4061 Gloucester Road, Rockhampton Road and vice versa.

(Public Footpath LBA/2, Badminton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Public Footpath LBA/2 which extends from Badminton Road/Well Lane southwards to a point 117m north of Shop Lane. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon building and deconstruction works. The order will be operative from 1 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 7 weeks duration. Alternative route: Follow signed diversion.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Hicks Avenue which extends from Emerson Way to Hill Close. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with defective reinstatement works. The order will be operative from 2 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm. Alternative route: Hicks Avenue, Thomas Avenue, Emerson Way and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Itchington Road which extends from a point 55m south west of Southlands south westwards for 770m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with road and site safety for engineers. The order will be operative from 3 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm.
