Hall Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic For New Connection Works

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Hall Lane, Shenfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Lane, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 175m north west of its junction with Shenfield Road for a distance of approximately 85m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013324406 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Hall Lane, Shenfield Road, Ongar Road, Doddinghurst Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mores Lane, South Weald) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mores Lane, South Weald in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Snakes Lane for a distance of approximately 115m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st March 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WG2KV91PSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Mores Lane, Ongar Road, Coxtie Green Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
