What is happening?

Essex County Council

(High Street & South Street, Manningtree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following lengths of road in Manningtree in the District of Tendring

The temporary restrictions are scheduled to commence on 07 March 2025 between the hours High Street – 0600 to 1030, South Street – 1030 to 1400 and are required for safety of the public, while filming takes place.

Stop and go temporary traffic control will be used to allow authorised vehicles relating to the film production team to use the closed roads when footage is being captured.

The Order will come into operation on 07 March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months.

(Mistley Quay, Mistley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mistley Quay, Mistley in the District of Tendring from a point approximately 15m north east of its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 10m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th March 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110257085 – Affinity Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

No alternative route is available for this closure.

The Order will come into effect on 7th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mayes Lane/Bay View Crescent & Lodge Road, Little Oakley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Mayes Lane, Little Oakley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Church Hill to its junction with Oakley Road a distance of approximately 760m.
  2. To temporarily close that length of Bayview Crescent, Little Oakley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Mayes Lane for a distance of approximately 235m in a south westerly then south easterly direction.
  3. To temporarily close that length of Lodge Road, Little Oakley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Bayview Crescent for a distance of approximately 45m in a south westerly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 17th March 2025 for 36 days (in phases not all at the same time), or where stated on a valid permit (A25011001381715/ A25011001382728/A25011001382821 & A25011001382771 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Oakley Road, Ramsey Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 21st February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
