What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(DUNSTABLE ROAD, STUDHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Dunstable Road, Studham opposite Setter Braes.

This temporary closure is required to enable new electricity supply works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 14 March 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Dunstable Road, Common Road, Clayhall Road, Byslips Road, Clements End Road, Dunstable Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 10 March 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact TBF Traffic 01449 490865.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CHAUL END ROAD, CADDINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Chaul End Road, Caddington outside number 201.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 14 March 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A5065, A505, A5183, Dunstable Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 10 March 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Chevron TM 0330053772.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(THORN ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Thorn Road, Houghton Regis outside Thorn Springs to Colloseum Drive.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 12 March 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A505, B5120, Bedford Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 10 March 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE  DISABLED PARKING BAY ON FROGMORE ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS

Reason for proposal: The disabled parking space would provide dedicated places for blue badge holders to park. Effect of the Order:

To introduce Parking for Disabled badge holders only on the following lengths of road in Houghton Regis:-

1. Frogmore Road, northern spur, located in the parking bay north of No.23 to No.31 Frogmore Road, Disabled Parking Bay to be positioned from the east corner, extending 3.6 metres west, and 5 metres south.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HARLINGTON: PARTS OF FOOTPATH NO. 23, FOOTPATH NO. 4 AND FOOTPATH NO. 36)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of public Footpath No. 23, Harlington which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0365 2999 to OS GR TL 0350 292 along part of public Footpath No. 4 which extends from OS GR TL 0384 3002 to OS GR TL 0387 2996 and along the length of public Footpath No. 36 from OS GR TL 0350 2972 to OS GR TL 0385 2994.

This temporary closure is required to install the remaining site drainage and to construct the new (FP36) and upgraded (FP23) Footpaths. The closure is expected to take place from 26th March 2025  for six months.

The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation for Footpath No. 4, runs through the estate, and uses the suggested connection to bridleway no. 21 at the south.

For Footpath No. 23 and Footpath No. 36 there is no alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 26th March 2025 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpaths have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
