Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above- mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere which extends from its junction with Hindhead Road (A287) to its junction with Polecat Valley (X83037).

Alternative Route – Lion Lane (D5511), Lion Green (B2131) and Hindhead Road (A287) or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out pole testing works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 2:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 March 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Green Lane (D131) Churt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Green Lane (D131) Churt as extends from its junction with (A287) Churt Road to its junction with (D131) The Old Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Green Lane (D131) and The Old Lane (D131) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route:

  1. The Old Lane, (A287) Churt Road, (A287) Crossways, Hale House Lane, Green Cross Lane, and Green Lane;
  2. (2)Green Lane, Green Cross Lane, Hale House Lane, (A287) Crossways, and (A287) Churt Road. This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of South East Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 March 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

D5317 Upper Way, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D5317 Upper Way, Farnham which extends from its junction with Weydon Hill Road to its junction with Green Lane. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 March 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – D5318 Weydon Hill Road, B3384 Ridgway Road, B3384 Shortheath Road and D5317 Green Lane.
